The Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 1 (SP1) Ignite training materials that Wadeware developed include technical content that covers various workloads, including deployment, management, coexistence and upgrading, compliance, and new High Availability and Unified Messaging features. The training content was developed for IT consultants at Microsoft, and Microsoft partners who are responsible for training, deploying Exchange Server 2010 SP1 workloads, and managing deployments. The training material for this series is expected to eventually reach thousands of users around the world.
Business issue and requirements
Microsoft determined that the Exchange Server 2010 Ignite labs and associated training content was out-of-date, and that the materials needed to be updated with information on the new Exchange Server 2010 SP1 technology and features.
Wadeware updated the Exchange Server 2010 Ignite virtual machines for the hands-on lab training of the course with Exchange Server 2010 SP1 bits. The labs included student exercises to cover the new features and functionality of the updated Exchange Server version. In addition, labs were updated to use Microsoft Lync Server 2010, the successor to Office Communications Server 2007 R2. Wadeware also worked closely with Microsoft subject matter experts to edit and format the PowerPoint presentations that professional trainers use to deliver the training material at Exchange Server events.
