Wadeware developed the Microsoft Lync Server 2010 Ignite In-a-Box courseware to train internal Microsoft IT consultants and partners on the new release of Lync Server 2010. The training, comprised of virtual machines that provide hands-on labs and informative PowerPoint presentations, covered topics including deployment, configuration, and integration of Lync Server 2010 into existing environments. The courseware material was designed to be delivered over multiple days to eventually train thousands of people.

Business Issue and Requirements

Microsoft determined that it needed hands-on lab content covering Lync Server 2010 updated to train the company’s internal IT consultants and partners. In addition, the client required that the training content be easily accessible to all specified partners via the Internet.

Solution

Wadeware developed the virtual machines and hands-on lab content for Lync Server 2010 Ignite, so it was a logical choice and a privilege for our courseware development team to handle the content updates and create the required virtual machines for the Lync Server 2010 In-a-Box wave of courseware content. Wadeware delivered the updated virtual machines as a DVD set and on a website that hosted the material for users to download. In addition, Wadeware edited and formatted the presentation material for the courseware according to client specifications.
