A mid-size financial advisory firm that oversees almost $400 billion in client assets, and serves as an investment advisor to hundreds of institutions in more than 40 countries contacted Wadeware to help improve their internal partner promotion process.  This process had become tedious and involved a cumbersome amount of overhead to manage.

Business Issue and Requirements

The financial advisory firm needed custom programming to update and improve the capability of the internal Web-based system that they use to facilitate the process of evaluating and promoting candidates to become partners in the firm.

Solution

Wadeware worked with their client to identify and develop a set of new capabilities, including a collaborative workspace, meeting organization, e-mail reminders, dynamic Excel reports, a candidate ranking system, and candidate profiles for the company’s internal Web-based system. Our software development team consulted with the client to complete the design architecture for the new system features, and then deploy, test, and troubleshoot the new capabilities in the system software.

The company now has a much more effective set of tools to evaluate and promote partner candidates from within their organization.

• Managers can review candidate information (including rankings from prior years), sign up for scheduled meetings to review candidates, and vote online from offices in different locations around the world. They can also conduct multiple rounds of votes for candidates.
• Administrators approve all candidates after each voting round to promote them to the next round. They can easily manage both candidates and users who participate in this new system, and they also have access to dynamic Excel reports that include information on voting history, aggregate scores, and voting participation.
