Ed has been helping customers with their information systems needs for more than 20 years. His information systems skills include systems architecture, enterprise deployment and migration, technical writing, and project management. His business acumen and customer relationship skills blend well with his technical competency to provide an overall solution to customers. He is a published author on Windows technology, and has written numerous magazine articles and white papers.
Experience
Throughout Ed’s more than 20 years of experience, he’s provided IT consulting and development services in a number of ways, including:
- Wadeware – Joined Bill Wade to form a partnership to help the company sell computer hardware and software development services to local companies. Wadeware has since evolved into its current form to provide technical documentation, IT courseware, architecture design and deployment services focused on Microsoft products and services, and IT infrastructure services.
- Cambridge Technology Partners – As a director, Ed worked for Cambridge Technology Partners, which acquired a small company in the Northwest that grew from 12 employees in 1992 to 550 in 1998. Ed ran the company’s Network Services for North America, was responsible for P&L, solution, service, and staff development, and performed quality assurance on staff deliverables.
- Excell Data Corporation – As a manager, Ed was a founding member of Enterprise Network Services, and he managed client engagements and provided technical leadership. Highlights during Ed’s tenure at Excell include the design and implementation of City of Seattle NDS and GroupWise project for 3000 seats, and the implementation of Group Health Cooperative NDS and GroupWise project for 30+ locations.
- NCR – As a developer, Ed worked on the network communications protocols SNA and X.25. From there Ed moved into product and program management on a variety of NCR products.
Background
Ed has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from San Diego State University; a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from West Coast University; and an MBA from the University of California, Irvine.
